Every minute, a woman dies from complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Four million newborns die in their first month of life, mostly from infections, birth asphyxia, premature birth, and unsafe delivery practices. MedCorp's projects focus on proper care before, during, and after delivery, giving women and children a chance to lead healthy lives.

Women and children suffer the most in emergencies. Of the millions affected by war, conflict, and natural disaster, 80 percent are women and children.
